Buying a home with a swimming pool can be very exciting, especially if it's your first pool.

However, have your eyes wide open because it is extremely important to know the condition of the pool. 

We have been building, servicing, renovating, and maintaining swimming pools since 1942, and when it's time for an inspection, experience does matter. Some buyers assume the home inspection covers the pool, in most cases it does not. Mainly because

most home inspectors do not have the expertise to evaluate a pool.

This is not something you want to ignore, even if it appears that the pool is in good working order. Swimming pools have complex equipment, with lots of moving parts.  A comprehensive inspection should be performed beyond the actual pool, which should be leak-free and solid.  The pumps, filters, heaters and sanitation systems should be inspected for proper operation.  The electrical equipment and plumbing, as well as decking surfaces and safety covers should be examined for condition and longevity.  Are you interested in a thorough pool inspection?
