Check out the transformation of this vinyl liner pool, it is amazing!
This is an approximately 30-year-old pool of which the client acquired when they bought the house. They reached out to Browning with a goal - to make the pool “their idea” of a backyard swimming pool.
The concrete patio was showing its age with areas that were unleveled and cracked.
The liner had been replaced approximately 20 years earlier and was past the end of its life. The liner track had failed in several locations. You’ll notice the telltale smiley face where the liner has dropped out of the track. In addition, the step entry had gone its distance.
Our new liner track is a patented liner-locking track that does not allow for the liner to come out of the track between liner installations.
The floor construction of the pool before the renovation was an old-style sand base. This base easily gets footprints and divots making it uneven and difficult to clean. Not only does this type of base look and feel “lumpy” but the indentations allow for debris to collect quickly.
Here you can see how we have provided a durable, permanent smooth concrete foundation interior floor. The wall system of the pool was in good shape but showed signs of rusting below the surface of the liner. We treated the surface with a rust preventative and protected the surface with an impermeable closed-cell foam barrier to trap moisture between the liner and the poly surface to protect the metal wall structure from any further deterioration.
The filtration system was outdated and the pool had a minimal circulation system. All system components were high energy use and there was not a heating system or any chemical automation present.
All underground plumbing lines and wall fittings were replaced. Additional wall returns and a dual low end-suction system were added to improve circulation and chemical distribution.
This is a great close up of the updated patio. The client wanted the patio to stand out and that it does! They decided to go with natural Pennsylvania Bluestone in a beautiful random square pattern.
Here you can see the updated liner, as well as an updated family-style entry with side seating for a cozy cove effect.
We offer a wide variety of up-to-date liner prints in addition to offering levels of quality and thickness to allow for customization.
The underwater lighting system was an old-style, incandescent white light that utilized a lot of electricity to operate and required frequent bulb changes. We replaced this with Colorlogic, LED underwater lighting, which not only brings in a plethora of underwater color but is significantly more energy-efficient.
Wow, what a difference! A natural stone knee wall with a custom ornamental wrought iron fence and a beautifully designed waterfall feature to add the sound of water to the backyard.
A completely updated filtration system! All plumbing updated to 40 PVC, a variable speed high-efficiency pump, a low maintenance sand filter, an efficient heat pump heating system, and mineral water purification.
